Concerning Secure International Credit Card Transactions
Many Banking Institutions in Europe, the United Kingdom and elsewhere have special privacy rules. These institutions offer their customers International Credit Cards that are acceptable here in North America. These Banking Institutions also wish to keep their customers' privacy and security intact, including their customers' billing addresses.
Recently Credit Card Clearing Companies here in the USA have begun to offer acceptance of these "International" Credit Cards on a restricted basis. In order for us to process International Credit Cards here in the USA, it is required of us to make a billing address verification when your order is to be filled and credit card information is presented for authorization. We propose to comply with both sets of rules.
This is for your protection and the security of your personal credit card information. There are a number of ways for us to obtain acceptance of your International Credit Card .... any one of these methods will suffice ...
1) Have your Issuing Bank call us in the USA Toll Free.
You can have your Credit Card Issuing Bank contact us by calling Low Energy Systems Inc. toll free in the USA at 1-800-873-3507, ext. 3 or 1-888-778-3240 or by lease line 303-781-9437. We present your credit card information to your Bank and will need an address confirmation from them and/or an authorization (approval) code number for your transaction. Most International Banks will do this at no extra charge to you, their credit card customer.
2) Have your Issuing Bank give us their USA or Canadian Toll Free Phone Number.
You can refer us to your Issuing Bank's toll free phone numbers here in the USA. We will be happy to call your Banks if possible and manually have the transaction secured with an authorization (approval) code. 3) You may send us a "Photo ID" with your address:
You can FAX us a copy of your Photo ID, usually a driver's license or passport page with your photograph and address as it appears on your credit card statements. We do not recommend that you send this photo and address information by e-mail as e-mail information may not be secure.

We normally ship by UPS Ground Residential service (USA only, except for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico), but also can ship via UPS Ground Commercial (USA only, except for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico), UPS Next Day Air, UPS Second Day Air, UPS Canada, UPS Worldwide Express, By Barge Within Hawaii, and USPS Priority Mail.

UPS Disbursement Fees:
Customers are responsible for payment of duties and taxes. When funds are not provided in advance by the customer, and UPS remits the duties and taxes on the importer's behalf a fee of 2.5% (minimum $5.75) of the amount paid by UPS will be charged. Return Policy
Once a product has been shipped from our premises, if you wish to return it, please, note that our restock charge is MINIMUM 20%. We DO NOT accept returns of products AFTER they have been installed. All shipping costs ARE NOT refundable. Retrun policy is limited to 90 days from the date of purchase. No returns on parts.

Company History
Low Energy Systems was founded in 1977 in Camden, Maine. At that time we were faced with an OIL EMBARGO. We were facing a cold Maine winter and people were afraid of being without heating oil. A window of opportunity opened that allowed a new business to start up.
Our philosophical underpinning was APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY. In Maine we had huge forests of hardwoods that would benefit from some thinning. Backyard welders followed plans from The Mother Earth News and built hydraulic log splitters and wood stoves. Neighbors helped each other cut and stack wood in huge creative piles. There were chain saw accidents and chimney fires and smog but we sent a message that made the front covers of many news magazines. We will survive without the oil!
Now Low Energy Systems is in Denver, Colorado where the burning of wood is mostly banned and the company sells efficient gas appliances. We have pioneered the use of tankless gas water heaters as the sensible alternative to tank type water heaters. We reasoned that people would not leave their automobile running all night so that they could drive to work in the morning but they were doing that exact same wasteful thing with their water heaters. An opportunity exists.
Today we sell many tankless water heaters and try to educate consumers and support users with technical service assistance. We work hard and get slow growth results mostly because natural gas is CHEAP! The more expensive, smaller propane fuel market has always been stronger in terms of consumer demand.
We believe in what we do and we support our customers. The products that we offer vary in capacity, efficiency, and ease of installation. This site aims at simplifying the purchasing decision by only offering the highest quality / value tankless water heaters within a hopefully user friendly organization. |
